Antonio Nunes was separated from all of his siblings when he was just a baby. Each of the three children lived completely separate lives, always wondering about the whereabouts of their other brothers.
Where It Began
Tony grew up in the southern state of Santa Catarina. His mother was not financially stable or ready to raise her three children. She decided to give Tony away to her parents first, and later on, the other two were given away for adoption. Tony never even met his youngest brother, Maicon.
Three years ago Tony and the middle brother, Jefferson, were reunited after 32 years. Jefferson’s adoptive parents knew Tony’s parents so the search wasn’t too difficult. Once the brothers came together, they were intent on finding their youngest brother. However, this was not going to be easy.
Not Enough Information
Everything about Maicon was vague. All the brothers knew was that the adoption was organized by a hairdresser who also worked at the bus station in Blumenau at the time. She was not very helpful and the brothers were at a loss.
Tony’s mother gave him away with the hopes that he would be able to make a better life for himself. The young man did just that, and by age 35 he was the owner of a natural gas distribution company. Part of his job included in-person deliveries and he would often befriend the clients.
Face To Face
Tony had one big client company whose representative was named Maicon Luciani. The two men became good friends. Tony never even saw a picture of his baby brother, so there was no chance he would recognize him.
Twist Of Fate
Maicon lost his job for the company at the end of 2018. As soon as Tony heard the news he decided to offer his friend a job at his company. The two started working closely together, deepening their friendship even more.
Strengthening Their Bond
When Tony needed to go on a business trip a few months after Maicon joined the company, he invited him to come along with him. This was a great opportunity to teach Maicon a bit more about the business. Little did they know that they would have much more to talk about along the way.
Something In Common
Maicon got to talking and it slipped that his last name was “Nunes” before he was adopted. The moment the name left his mouth, Tony’s opened wide. Maicon went on to explain the details of his adoption and it was very clear that he was his long lost brother.
