They say, “Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.” Angie and Gino hail from South California. The couple already had two sons but still wanted a daughter. They were happy with their boys, but it felt like something was amiss. Their prayers were eventually answered but not in the way that they expected!
Angie And Gino Always Wanted To Have Kids
Gino and Angie are one of those people who are naturally amazing at being parents. They were excited to start their family as soon as they tied the knot. The couple could not wait to have children and eventually gave birth to their first child. After that, they had another child, who was also a boy.

Angie And Gino Always Wanted To Have Kids
They Already Had Two Little Boys
Gino and Angie were both proud that they were parents. There was nothing more satisfying than to see their babies grow into amazing little boys. It was amazing to watch them achieve every milestone. Even though they were happy, they could not help but feel like the family was still missing something.

They Already Had Two Little Boys
The Couple Wanted A Baby Girl As Well
Gino and Angie had two little boys and had a good life in California. However, they could not help but wonder what it would be like to have a daughter. They continued to pray for a little girl. At long last, everything changed when Angie took a pregnancy test! It looked like their wish was finally coming true.

The Couple Wanted A Baby Girl As Well
They Eventually Got Their Wish
Angie was thrilled to see that she was pregnant! Of course, they wanted to know if it was going to be a girl or another boy. Either was fine, but they kept their fingers crossed for a daughter. When it was time to find out, they got great news. The nurse told them, “It’s a girl!” However, there was something else…

They Eventually Got Their Wish
Not Just One But Three
The couple was delighted to hear that they were getting a daughter at last. However, the doctor seemed excited and shocked after checking the ultrasound. Apparently, there was not only one girl in utero but three! Angie and Gino were pregnant with triplets! It was shocking news, but they were also pleased.

Not Just One But Three
Three Babies But Only Two Placentas
It was impossible to predict that this would happen. A set of triplets was already rare, but this was even rarer than that. After conducting an ultrasound, the doctor found out that there were only two placentas in the womb. Two of the fetuses split from a single egg and shared a placenta. It meant that they would be identical. The third one came from a totally different egg.

Three Babies But Only Two Placentas
This Was A Special Pregnancy
Angie and Gino got their wish, but it was multiplied by three. What made things weirder was the fact that two of the triplets would be identical. They conceived naturally, which made all of this even more strange! The odds of having triplets is just 1 in 4,000. It is also rare to have two of them be identical.

This Was A Special Pregnancy
They Prepared As Much As They Could
It was exciting to hear this piece of news, but the couple also had to deal with the consequences of this. Clearly, their lives were about to be turned upside down! They had to work and prepare before the girls arrived. They got a minivan, hired a nanny, and asked loved ones for support. Both Angie and Gino worked, so they asked their employers for flexibility as well. It was good that they planned ahead.

They Prepared As Much As They Could
A High-Risk Pregnancy
They were going to have triplets, which made the pregnancy high-risk. While the pregnancy was still in the early stages, Dr. Daneshmand wanted Angie to know that it would be different from her previous ones. They knew that complications could happen, but they had no clue what was in store for them.

A High-Risk Pregnancy
Serious Complications
About 26 weeks into the pregnancy, there were serious complications. A fluid discrepancy occurred, and this was dangerous for Angie and the triplets. When Sharp Healthcare interviewed her, she said, “We saw that the liquid for ‘Baby B’ was too low and for ‘C’ was a little high.” It is imperative that a baby gets the right liquid level while in the womb. What were they going to do to ensure the safety of the triplets?

Serious Complications
She Was Taken To The Hospital
The fluid levels made things dangerous for two of the babies. The fluid needs to maintain a balance so that the triplets would not suffer brain hemorrhaging and underdeveloped lungs. Angie could no longer follow her daily routine. After all, she was told to stay at the hospital until the end of the pregnancy!

She Was Taken To The Hospital
Hitting Pause On Her Life
“I said, ‘Wait, right now?'” Angie said. This part was a crossroads for this mother. She wanted to keep the babies safe, so she did the right thing. However, it was still hard for her to go to the hospital when she was only 26 weeks pregnant. It meant that she would have to leave the boys at home, for one thing.

Hitting Pause On Her Life
They Made It Work
It was difficult for Angie to check into the hospital so early in her pregnancy. She needed to stay in bed rest away from her home. Not only that, but her husband and children would not be with her. Despite this, she knew that she had to do this for the triplets. Gino and the boys decided to visit her every day!

They Made It Work
The Hospital Became Her Home
Angie was spending a lot of time in the hospital, so things changed for her. Even though it was temporary, the hospital was her current home. They did their best to make it as comfortable as possible. The nurses felt bad for her. “They’re taken away from everything that’s normal,” Toni Hicks RN told Sharp Healthcare, “So by telling them, ‘You know, I understand that this is really hard for you’ — that’s huge for our patients.”

The Hospital Became Her Home
Their Date Night
Angie had been dealing with a high-risk pregnancy and was staying at the hospital for weeks on end. She had to go through it mostly on her own as well. While her husband and sons visited her as much as possible, it was different. Gino and Angie tried to keep her spirits up. One thing they did was go on a “date night.” They ate dinner in her room! “This is our date night that we never get at home,” she said.

Their Date Night
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
They had to create a birth plan before the triplets arrived. While the medical team did everything to see this through, the couple knew that the babies would likely have to remain at the neonatal intensive care unit thanks to their size. Angie and Gino made sure to check it out before she was due to give birth.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Feeling Empowered
No mom wants to imagine that their kid would have to go to the NICU. Even so, Angie tried to keep her morale up. She felt in control of the situation after the tour and the birth plan. “You hear a lot of stories, you know, of triplets who don’t make it or especially of identical twins. The body absorbs one of them,” she said. “I didn’t see [the NICU] as a sad place, I saw it as a place that was empowering for me.”

Feeling Empowered
Baby B Was Not Doing As Well
The medical team monitored the babies every day. While conducting an ultrasound, they saw that baby ‘B’ was smaller than the two others. This was not that strange since she and baby ‘C’ used a single placenta. Even so, they had to keep an eye on this. The pregnancy was almost halfway done by then.

Baby B Was Not Doing As Well
Only 34 Weeks
The medical team and Angie had one goal. The plan was to simply get to the 34th week mark. This was enough time for the triplets to develop in the womb. If it was less than that, the babies would have a higher chance of complications and probably become underdeveloped. Could Angie make it?

Only 34 Weeks
One Day At A Time
When it was more than 30 weeks into the pregnancy, all she could do was to simply get through the day. She and Gino were excited about the birth of the triplets but knew that they needed more time. “Anything could happen between now and my due date,” she said. “We could have contractions that can’t control. We may do an emergency C-section. For us, we don’t count the weeks here, we count the days.”

One Day At A Time
The Big Day
Angie and the medical team kept their fingers crossed for 34 weeks but she went into labor two weeks before that! There was nothing to do but to deliver the babies. “Three little stars will be born tonight,” Gino said. “I have some hard work ahead of me now,” Angie said before going to the delivery room.

The Big Day
Their Arrival
Angie was ready to give birth to the triplets. The medical team performed a C-section for safety reasons. It was the best bet for Angie and the babies. The team began the operation and delivered one little girl after another. Each one of Anabella, Daniella, and Camilla weighed less than four pounds!

Their Arrival
Advanced Life Support Team
The medical team was aware that this might happen, so they knew what to do. The triplets were so tiny that they needed to be placed on advanced life support. This was going to ensure that they would finish the development they needed! The babies were handed through a window beside the operating room. Each one of them was checked, stabilize, and assisted before they were brought to the NICU.

Advanced Life Support Team
They Had Yet To Meet
Angie carried these babies for months and went through the horrors of labor. She only wanted to hold her babies! They had a birth plan, but it was still difficult not to hold the babies right away. The triplets were all so tiny and had to be brought to the NICU. While sad, it is good to hear they were taken care of.

They Had Yet To Meet
Breathing Difficulties
Anabella, Daniella and Camilla were all very small babies. Their lungs had yet to fully develop, so they could not breathe on their own. The medical team made sure to give them oxygen via C-pap. There was never any doubt that they were in good hands. Gino and Angie could do nothing but to watch and wait.

Breathing Difficulties
Stabilizing The Babies
At a certain point, the oxygen levels went down to 55 percent. The medical team knew that they had to open the lungs and placed the babies on C-pap. Angie finally saw the triplets but did so through a digital camera. While it does not compare to holding them, she was glad to finally get a glimpse of the babies.

Stabilizing The Babies
The Nurses Took Care Of Them
Anabella, Daniella, and Camilla were in the NICU. They had nurses to look after them. The triplets were so tiny and vulnerable to many complications. Alina Harper RN said, “You know, I really empathize with the parents that have to have their babies and be separated from them.” Luckily, it did not last forever.

The Nurses Took Care Of Them
Stable Condition
Just a few hours after the birth of the triplets, they were doing much better already. They still had to remain in the NICU, but they were at least stable and breathing. Even though they needed to stay there for a little while, the parents could finally meet them. Are you ready to see what it was like?

Stable Condition
It Was Sinking In
Gino and Angie had a hard time believing everything that just happened. After weeks in the hospital, the triplets were finally here! The medical team gave them updates on the baby, which finally made the truth sink in. At long last, the couple finally got to meet Anabella, Daniella, and Camilla.

It Was Sinking In
The NICU Nurses Were Excited
The nurses are used to seeing sentimental moments on a daily basis. Many of them formed bonds with the mothers and the babies for this reason. The staff who took care of the babies could not wait for the parents to meet the girls! “I love to see the initial contact between mommy and baby,” Alina Harper explained. “I always look for that, that moment that is just theirs that I get to be a part of.”

The NICU Nurses Were Excited
Time To Meet
While Angie would need more time to recover from the operation, she was thrilled to meet the girls. They were all in stable condition by then. A nurse wheeled Angie into the NICU to meet her daughters. Gino was also present! They were so excited that they could hardly contain their emotions.

Time To Meet
Meeting Their Daughters
At long last, Angie and Gino entered the room. The nurse brought her to where the little girls were. When one of the babies was handed to Angie, she started to cry because she felt overwhelmed. Tearfully, she turned to her husband and said, “It feels so right.”

Meeting Their Daughters
Finally Reunited
It had only been a couple of hours, but it felt like an eternity. “I was only a few hours apart from them and I already missed them,” Angie said, “So it feels good to be reunited.” One by one, the nurses picked up the triplets to let Angie hold them all. This mom cradled the girls and tried to soothe them.

Finally Reunited
Dad And Daughter
Of course, let us not forget that Gino was in the room as well! He got to cradle the babies too. The nurses even tucked the babies to his shirt so that there would be skin-to-skin contact. Premature babies tended to benefit from this because the body serves as a natural incubator and regulates body heat.

Dad And Daughter
A Beautiful Moment
Newborn children do not typically open their eyes when they are born. Anabella, however, opened her peepers and looked at Gino while lying on his chest. He would talk, and her eyes remained glued on his mouth. “Look at that, she’s opening her eyes, listening to me,” he shared. “Beautiful, beautiful feeling.”

A Beautiful Moment
Growing Up
A few weeks later, the girls were discharged from the NICU and could go home. Angie had been in the hospital for many weeks prior to the delivery, but it was now time for her to leave. Finally, the family felt complete! The triplets grew up and developed their interests and personalities. They recently turned 6!

Growing Up
Turning Six Years Old
Angie and Gino could not believe that they were turning six already! It felt like they had just been in the NICU. A lot of things have changed since the arrival of the triplets. While Angie needed to be on bed rest after the delivery, it felt like the first couple of years in the triplets’ lives went by very quickly.

Turning Six Years Old
Their Hands Are Full
Trust us when we say that it is hard to be a parent. Can you imagine raising five children together, with three of them being triplets? It was hard, but Angie and Gino tried their hardest. They felt very committed to the family and did everything to provide for the kids! They sure make it look easy.

Their Hands Are Full
A Family Of Seven
Just seven years ago, Angie and Gino were praying for a daughter. They did not expect their prayers to be heard, much less have it come true thrice! While this was unexpected, they love their family of seven. The kids are all close in age, which makes things hard. Even so, the couple loves the “fun chaos” of it all.

A Family Of Seven
Wishes Do Come True
Gino and Angie are the parents of two boys and three girls. These days, they can’t imagine what it is like not to have the kids. They are busy, but they are very happy. In the end, it all worked out for the best! “It’s truly a dream come true to have them come into my life,” Angie said. How touching is that? The next story is about another mother who beat the odds when she had her triplets…

Wishes Do Come True
Time To Expand The Family
Becki-Jo Allen and Liam Tierney from Liverpool, England lived with Indiana, their daughter. They were thrilled to find out that they were expecting! However, 23-year-old Becki-Jo could tell that there was something off. She had headaches and nausea that were unusually strong. They decided to go to the doctor and get an ultrasound.

Time To Expand The Family
There Were Three Babies
It turned out that Becki-Jo was pregnant with three kids. The couple was stunned and relieved to hear that. “It was the biggest shock of my life!” she said. “We haven’t got any triplets in the family, so it came completely out of the blue.” It is very rare for a pregnant woman to have triplets. There is 1 in 9,000 chances that it would happen! This was even more strange because Becki-Jo was young and conceived naturally.

There Were Three Babies
A Birth Scare
The pregnancy became an easier ordeal for a while, but week 31 proved to be a gamechanger. Becki-Jo got contractions so early in the pregnancy. Luckily, the babies were all healthy even though they were tiny. This was only a bit more than seven months as most pregnancies take 38 weeks. Liam brought her to the hospital right away, and a C-section was conducted.

A Birth Scare
In Intensive Care
The triplets survived the operation. Rohan, Rocco, and Roman were brought to the intensive care unit as soon as they were born. They were all below five pounds, which was the average baby weight. Rohan was three pounds and ten ounces. Meanwhile, Roman was three pounds and six ounces. Rocco was the lightest at only three pounds and five ounces.

In Intensive Care
Health Risks
Multiple births experience more health risks than normal births. The babies might get congenital disabilities and undergo complications. This was why the triplets had to stay in the NICU for six weeks! Premature babies usually needed help because their bodies were not done developing in utero.

Health Risks
After The Long Wait
Luckily, the triplets did not experience any issues. Six weeks later, the little boys could finally go home! Becki-Jo and Liam set up their room and bought everything they would need. They thought that they were finished with surprises, but it turned out that there was still something that would shock them.

After The Long Wait
Something Felt Off
When the family was out and about, strangers would point out how much the boys looked alike. Becki-Jo then sent cheek swab samples for testing. Maybe two of the boys were identical even though triplets are mostly fraternal. They also wanted to find out why it was so hard to distinguish between the boys!

Something Felt Off
They Were Identical Triplets
Rocco, Roman, and Rohan all came from the same egg. It was a single egg that split into three, which means that they are identical. At first, their doctor told them they were not monozygotic. This was not true! This came as a huge shock to the medical staff as well. It was very rare and only happened anywhere from 1 in 6,000 to 1 in 200 million pregnancies!

They Were Identical Triplets
Beating The Odds
In itself, a multiple birth is already rare enough. It only occurs 1 in 67 times. Many of them are dizygotic as well, which means that the babies came from separate eggs. In the case of Becki-Jo, one egg split into two and then into three! There is 1 in 250 chances that an egg will divide into two, but this happened twice during her pregnancy. Whoa.

Beating The Odds
Identical In Most Ways
Roman, Rohan, and Rocco are identical triplets, so they share a blood type, eye color, and hair color. Despite this, they are going to have different teeth marks and fingerprints! They are eventually going to grow into individuals with their own skills and lives. Despite this, they would probably have comparable IQs and personalities.

Identical In Most Ways
How To Tell The Boys Apart
While they all look alike, the parents found a way to tell the boys apart. “They’ve all got dark birthmarks between their eyebrows, but Roman’s is slightly darker than the others, and Rohan has got a birthmark on his leg as well,” said Becki-Jo, “But they all have completely different personalities.” Roman does not want to share his toys, Rohan shouts, and Rocco likes to go with the flow.

How To Tell The Boys Apart
It Was Challenging
Becki-Jo went on Instagram to discuss what it is like to raise the boys. This was a special situation, of course. Luckily, the boys have always been healthy! Despite this, it was still difficult to look after them. She had four children and found it hard to do all the errands that she has to run.

It Was Challenging
A Single Mom
Before she had her first child, Becki-Jo actually wanted to be a neonatal nurse. Her passion grew some more when the triplets stayed in the NICU. That was where she would have been assigned after training! Liam is not living with her and helps his sister Laura. He does, however, visit the kids as much as possible and offer support. However, Becki-Jo is pretty much raising the four children as a single mom.

A Single Mom
Triplets Cost A Lot
Apart from raising Indiana, she also has to take care of three babies at the same time. Rocco, Rohan, and Roman go through 5 packs of wet wipes and 130 diapers every week. In a month, they go through 20 packs of wet wipes and 520 diapers. Not only do they finish four packs of baby formula, but Becki-Jo also does the laundry three times per day. The triplets nap 130 times a week, and this is her downtime.

Triplets Cost A Lot
The Big Sister
The good news is that Indiana has not shown any signs of jealousy. It was like love at first sight for her when she saw her little brothers! She is only six years old, but she is already a responsible girl who helps her mother as much as she could. Despite this, Becki-Jo makes sure that she gets enough attention too.

Famous On Instagram
This story has made rounds on social media. Becki-Jo is followed by 64,000 people on Instagram as well. She does not shy away from attention and has chosen to embrace it instead. She has taken to Instagram to host “ask me a question” events. This mom gives out parenting advice and explains how her day normally goes by. She is more than willing to answer the questions that fans send in!

Not The Only One
It might seem like triplet births are less common now, but there were actually four pairs of identical triplets born in 2015 alone. Becki-Jo has a unique experience, but she is not going through this alone. There are other parents that she can reach out to! The Daily Mail published an article about Karen Gilbert who painted the toenails of her children in different colors to tell them apart. Kerry Lyons, meanwhile, talked about what it was like raising identical triplets.

Not The Only One
Birthdays Are Chaotic
Without a doubt, birthday parties can get interesting in the house. Rocco, Rohan, and Roman all share the same birthday, after all. They also get to share their balloons, presents, and cake. We are glad that Indiana is willing to help with the decorations and gifts! During this special occasion, the family puts in the effort to ensure that the babies would enjoy a heartfelt birthday.

Birthdays Are Chaotic
It Is A Fulfilling Job
The triplets now lead regular lives. They all fight, study, and travel together. Most young boys can only dream of being them! Becki-Jo felt privileged to witness their milestones as well. Like most parents, she still fears that something will happen to them. Now that the health scares are over, she gets to experience all the natural joys and fears associated with parenthood!

Two Years Later
Two years have gone by since Becki-Jo learned that she was pregnant with triplets. This mom says that strangers would stop her on the street and talk about how alike the triplets look. These passersby were always shocked to hear that they are actually identical. At any rate, we e are sure that the boys are going to grow into lovely individuals in the future!
