World’s Tallest Man
The next world record from the Guinness World Records Book is actually also in medical history. This one is dedicated to the World’s Tallest Man in history, Robert Pershing Wadlow who was originally from Illinois, USA measured at 2.72 m (8 ft 11.1 in) tall. Robert was also known as “The Gentle Giant” and from a young age required leg braces when walking. By 1938 he became a world-famous celebrity, and just several after his death, a life-size statue of Wadlow was constructed opposite the Alton Museum of History and Art.

Longest Fingernails On A Woman
Nail Artist, Ayanna Williams of Houston grew her fingernails for more than 20 years before she earned the title of ‘Longest Fingernails On A Woman’. Her total nail length reached 18 feet and 10.9 inches at the time the measurements were taken. While being interviewed she said, “I applied for the record title to let my children know that anything they want to accomplish can be done. It takes courage, discipline and patience, but it can be accomplished”.
