Timothy Carney
In 2004, 25-year-old Timothy Carney was declared missing after he’d called his employer saying he would be late for work but never showed up. His roommate, Roy Anthony, was the last person to see Timothy before his disappearance. Later that same day, Timothy’s car was found, abandoned, on the side of the road. Of course, his family never stopped looking for him, but it wasn’t easy. It wasn’t until 2011 that he was found, alive and well.
Michele “Shelli” Whitaker
In 2002, 38-year-old Michele “Shelli” Whitaker disappeared after being mistakenly released from jail. She was reportedly seen later that month trying to get a ride somewhere. However, it wasn’t until 2008 that she was found. Her mother received a call six years after her daughter’s disappearance. A county sheriff by the name of Chuck Wright told the worried mother that he had found her daughter. It turns out that after seeing Michele on TV in an episode of “Forensic Files”, a viewer recognized her – as their neighbor. She’d been living in another part of the country.
