We don’t like to admit it, but many of the food we eat isn’t prepared with the highest hygiene standards in mind. The signs in fast food bathrooms that say “employees must wash hands” may be encouraging, but who knows if they are actually followed. Restaurants with a short staff must move quickly, and handwashing takes time.
