In an attempt to show that he was an ally, actor Scott Carrell kissed Oscar Nunez on the lips. According to Nunez, they were only meant to share an embrace in that scene. However, Carrell wanted to step it up a notch. When Nunez realized that his costar was going in for a kiss, he did his best to remain in character throughout the funny smooch!

In the film, he was trapped in a time loop and had to experience the day before his death on the battlefield over and over. As he tried to figure out how to save the world from aliens, he asks for the help of a Special Forces fighter by the name of Rita Vrataski, who was played by Emily Blunt.
