Not Knowing What To Do
Mike’s first thought was, “I hope Jeff was able to hide.” Dereck reached into his pocket and pulled out a fresh lock before locking the door behind him and his partner. After that, he returned to the upper floor and attached the keys to the clip on his belt. Mike had been waiting for a while, perplexed as to what action he should take next, when all of a sudden, a huge noise emanated from within the chamber.

It sounded as though someone was changing the furniture in the room, but why would they do that? Mike had no idea what was going on until all of a sudden he did. They were engaged in combat! Michael sped up his listening by placing his ear close to the door. There was a clear physical altercation going on between Jeff and the other man, and he could also hear a woman crying, although it seemed as though she had something stuck in her mouth.
