Hannah claimed she hadn’t shared his phone number with anyone and was unaware of the call in question. She questioned if he had returned the call, but Dale hadn’t because he frequently received phony calls that wasted his time. It couldn’t hurt, though.

Dale attempted to phone the number but had no luck. Later, when he was pouring a glass of wine, the phone rang once more. He was curious as to who it was as it was the same individual. He had maintained the cell in case Lise attempted to contact, even though most people used the house number.
