With multiple Emmy nominations, over 15 to be exact, she was a perfect fit to being Leonard’s mom. We may have never seen the face of Debbie Wolowitz but we were all too familiar with her voice. Howard’s typical adoring and overprotective Jewish mama can not go unmentioned. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2017 after battling cancer. The show released a heartwarming message, “Mrs. Wolowitz, every time you spoke, we laughed. You’re in our hearts forever.”
