Thomas really entered at the wrong time. The place was heaving with people. Individuals were shouting at each other, at the on duty officers and even the folks behind reception. He felt bad for them. Nevertheless, he needed this information so took his number and waited patiently. Time was of the essence.

Finally someone shouted out ‘Number 68!’. Thomas jumped up and followed this uniformed police officer into a separate room. Inside the room, she asked the purpose of his query, to which he explained that he needed information on a potentially dangerous individual. He expressed his concerns about this man working inside a building with children and showed the urgency of the situation. She looked at him with a blank face after hearing the name ‘Callum’.

The officer explained to Thomas that she would send for information, but with such limited info to begin with, the whole process could take weeks, or even months. She apologized and encouraged him to do some detective work of his own. Once he found out more details about Callum, she instructed him to visit his local library. While on route to the library, he decided to call the school. He needed more to start with, so asked simply for the teacher’s surname, age, and any other details. The receptionist was helpful thankfully, and told Thomas that Callum’s last name was Morris. Callum was also registered as 34 years old. She was sorry she couldn’t be of more help. He was thankful for what she could tell him. Good timing, he arrived at the library.

He apologized and speed-walked to the computer area. After logging on, he used the library’s archive program, searching up a ‘Callum Morris’.
