John Lewis, a barbecue maestro, opened Lewis Barbecue in South Carolina in 2016, after beginning his career at the age of 18. The delectable slow-cooked pork stew served with white rice quickly became popular. Due of his passion to creating the most distinctive BBQ meals, the owner welded his own custom-designed smoker. He starts the smoker at four a.m. simply so he can serve the rich flavor of pork ribs cooked for almost 18 hours.
