Smokey D’s – Des Moines, Iowa
Smokey D’s is the result of Darren and Sherry Warth’s dedication. The couple competed in 75 state BBQ championships and approximately 800 local, regional, and national triumphs. The Warths look out over three Iowa locations where customers may sample delicious meals such as chopped pig, pulled chicken, smoked ribs, sliced turkey, and pit ham. You’ll have a hard time choosing between smoked chicken wings glazed with your favorite BBQ sauce and plain Kansas City-style burned ends with Asian glaze or Buffalo sauce.
Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que – Kansas City, Kansas
Originally known as Oklahoma Joe’s, this Kansas City classic exemplifies the city’s distinct barbecue techniques. Their charred ends, which are only offered three days a week, are exceptionally delectable. Crispy and delectable, they have to be among the greatest in America. Jeff and Joy Stephney opened their restaurant in an old gas station in a former fried chicken storefront, and their exceptional pulled pork, ribs, and brisket (slow-cooked for a whopping 15 hours) rapidly became a success.
