Celine was impersonated on shows like MADtv, South Park, Saturday Night Live, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and Royal Canadian Air Farce for her funny stage antics and strong accent. Celine has a wonderful sense of humor, so she doesn’t really mind and she has said the comments don’t affect her. She also said she is flattered people spend time impersonating her! She even invited Ana Gasteyer, the actress who parodied her, to appear on stage in one of her New York performances.

Hurricane Katrina
Although Celine tries not to get involved in politics, in 2005, after the Hurricane Katrina disaster, she shared her thoughts when she appeared on Larry King Live. She tearfully criticized the slow response of the US government in aiding the disaster’s victims. She said, “There are people still there waiting to be rescued. To me, that is not acceptable … How can it be so easy to send planes in another country to kill everybody in a second and destroy lives. We need to serve our country.”
