Richard Chamberlain’s performance as the title character in the 1961 program “Dr. Kildare. Subsequent appearances in the repertory theater by the teen idol demonstrated his prowess as an actor. Max Baer Jr., best known for playing Jethro Bodine, the credulous nephew of Jed Clampett on “The Beverly Hillbillies,” has a fascinating personality.
