In fact, Mattel has reported that it sells 58 million dolls every year, which means more than a hundred dolls per minute. This explains why Mattel has an annual net revenue of $1.5 billion per year! In reality, the dolls have never been produced in the United States. In 1959, the company opened the first plant in Japan while it was trying to recover from the Second World War. There are now four factories, two of which are in China and then one each in Indonesia and Malaysia.

The audio equipment and musical instrument manufacturer is based in Tennessee and has been in the market for more than a century. Did you know that Gibson Guitars used to exclusively make mandolins? However, it is much more known for its archtop guitars, flat top guitars, and hollow electric guitars. Eventually, the Chicago Music Instruments bought the guitar retailer. The producer of the Gibson Les Paul brand has made instruments for the likes of Jimi Hendrix. In case you were wondering, they make their products in the United States.
