In reality, the American Chopper team is no stranger to lawsuits whatsoever. A few seasons into the TV show, they were sued by Cody Connelly. Despite this, the company kept selling products with his likeness. He lost the lawsuit, but we are sure that it was not easy for him either. On the bright side, he did reach a settlement with the producers of the show for an undisclosed sum of money.

Someone Else Claimed Credit For A Chopper Concept

There was a time when Orange County Chopper collaborated with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation in the hopes of making a chopper that was accessible to wheelchair users. Sadly, Chris Tavantzsis filed a lawsuit. He is a polio sufferer and said that he pitched them the concept at a trade show two years prior to the episode. Four years after he sued them, it got thrown out of court.
