Rick has always been the one who stood by Richard ever since he was a little boy. He has fond memories of his father. At one point, he even said, “He was my hero and I was fortunate to get a very cool ‘Old Man’ as my dad. That I got to share him with so many others and they got to see what a great family man he was is something I am grateful to have experienced with him.”

In the end, however, we still cannot confirm why Richard did such a thing. Rick and Corey have admitted that they talked about this matter with the “Old Man” in the past. However, they decided not to share the reasons for his decision. Even though people believe that Richard excluded Christopher because of his lack of involvement in the family, we do not know if this was the case for sure. Only time will tell if Corey and Rick will eventually share the truth with everyone else!
