Double-Sided Tape
Double-sided tapes were coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides, and when sandwiched between two surfaces, it would form a bond between them. The dollar stores sold the 130-inch double-sided tape for a way lower price. Staples sold them for $4.70 for the 450-inch roll. And although the ones sold by the dollar stores were shorter, they were still cheaper when converted.

Cotton Swabs
Cotton swabs were most commonly used to clean or caress the ear canal to remove earwax. These were also used for applying and removing makeup. It could also be used for arts and crafts. Because of its many uses, we could not see a reason why we would have to pay for a way higher price from CVS when we could just buy these at the dollar stores for a lower price. One box of 170 swabs would cost $2.79 at CVS, and we felt like this was a little too much because there were barely differences between the ones at the dollar store and the ones in CVS.
