It must have been momentous. If it rains, you will notice the Canal Saint-Martin as well. People had no faith in the truth of the fact that this being correct. It was surprising to see the end of the canal. Everyone wanted to find out what was in the water in the canal.

The Living Things In The Water
They had first to remove the water from the canal until there was no more than 50 cm of water remaining and the still-living “things” were recovered in the canal. They successfully dredged five tons of trout, carp, and bream. They transported the fish to better habitat, such as a breeding facility. Before relocating, the fish was carefully and completely weighed. While the new location was not their most favorite, it was better than the alternative.
