A Warm Bed
Mallory came up with an idea. She thought there was something else to keep it warm – why not build a nest for the fox? Cliff and Allan only found sawdust on the boat, so they tried using it to give the tiny critter a little warmth. They gathered it and fashioned a bed for the animal. It actually worked!

The put the sawdust in a plastic bin where they intended to keep the animal for security and warmth. The fox buried itself in the flakes of wood in no time at all. They also had the presence of mind to put this on the sunniest part of the boat. They hoped this would be enough to keep it warm for now.
