Albania has become a hotbed of animal cruelty, as Tomi and a slew of other bears were apprehended there. It’s unclear exactly what Tomi had gone through, but he had clearly gone through a lot at the same time. Four Paws made every effort to capture him! Would they be able to pull it off?

After two years of negotiating, Four Paws was able to reach an agreement with Tomi’s owners that allowed them to adopt him. Tomi was about to begin a new life at the sanctuary, but no one could have predicted that it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
