She soon realized it was more than just some picnic date when Matt went down on his knee and held her hand. He looked Laura in the eye, showed her a ring and asked, “Will you marry me?” Her jaw dropped and she exclaimed passionately, “YES!” Laura recalled, “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, is this happening?’ I saw the ring and was like, ‘This is gorgeous. I’m so happy with it.’ I had no idea!”

Worrying
As for Matt, he was quite nervous leading up to the proposal. He was trying to pull off what is probably the greatest move ever in his life and he was also worried that he would lose the ring. He said, “I kept checking my pocket when she wasn’t looking to make sure the ring was still there.”
