All of the men of the Robertson family boast of long and bushy beards, but the one that Jase sported has something special about it. This is another reason a lot of viewers and relatives were shocked when he made the decision to let go of his facial hair. However, he had an amazing reason for doing it – one that was close to his heart. That was the good thing about his plan.

Mia, Jase’s daughter, was born with a cleft palate and lip. The condition occurs when the baby’s top lip does not properly form while inside the uterus and the top part of the mouth does not correctly connect with the skull. Fortunately, this condition is not fatal and surgery can help. However, the child might have speech difficulties as they grow up.
