No state in the north had a 15% obesity rate in the year 1985. Six years after, there was an increase of 20% when it comes to obesity. The scale of obesity in North Dakota had risen to 33.2%. 71% were obese or overweight. Some rural areas had a larger number of people who had this problem. 29.5% were suffering from high blood pressure, and 10% had diabetes.
