Sidney Poitier is definitely one of the most talented men out there. The star actually went on to become the first African-American actor to bring home an Academy Award. He won in the Best Actor category for his portrayal in Lilies of the Field. In 1974, he received knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II. He has since dabbled in production and direction work as well, but he is no longer in the industry.

In the past, he has collaborated with people like Dick Van Dyke and Mel Brooks. Most people know him best for playing Saul in Ocean’s Eleven nowadays. In 2016, he campaigned for Bernie Sanders during the Democratic Party presidential primaries. To this day, he continues to act.
