Honestly, we are not surprised at all to hear that this amazing house went viral on the internet. The house even got a feature on the news. People were fascinated by the story behind it. Many were shocked to hear that a 96-year-old lady could look after such a place without any help. The popularity just made the price go up even more. People who were tuning in to the story must have thought that it was more like a museum than a proper house. The house would not look out of place in the ‘40s at all! This is all thanks to the decision Joyce made not to change anything and keep whatever she could intact.

Even though the place did not change much over the years, Joyce said that one room in the house got renovated in the past. She got it modernized during the ‘60s for the sake of convenience more than anything else. The original design was not all that practical, after all. Joyce made this decision because she wanted to cook in a more efficient manner. Even though the most recent update happened in the ’60s, the appliances were all working and in good condition. After hearing how well she took care of the house, this does not come as a shock. The sisters agreed that it made sense. It was truly a time capsule!
