They were expensive, to begin with and purchasing the doll wasn’t enough because you had to accessorize it with their pricey outfits –that were sent in the mail to parents. Although pricey, you could say that your parent’s money was not put to waste if you had one. Girls who owned this doll were encouraged not only to play but to read as well. Each individual of the American Girl Dolls had its own 6 book series attached that told the history of the child (doll). They originally sold for $82 but right now they go up to hundreds.

The Nintendo 64 shocked America when it introduced 3D graphics in a time when most game consoles in the market were still stuck in 2D. With the Nintendo 64, games were well-developed, advanced, and more animated. There was nothing like playing adventure games such as Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie!
