Walter Miller, together with his friends, managed to get away with their bank-robbing schemes. With all honesty, Walter said, “After every score, we’d hand out on the strip at 14th and T [Streets], and act like big timers. We felt like gangsters. I have nobody to blame but myself. I just enjoyed the feeling of having money.”

Getting Caught Again
However, his luck soon ran out. Walter Miller and his friends might have gotten away with a few bank robberies but there was one time where everything came crashing down. It was in August 1971 and the bank they had targeted installed a silent alarm. The bank teller used this to alert the officials about the burglary that was taking place.
