If O’Brien did not take the initiative, it turned out that their romance would not have developed as it did. There was a moment early in the series in which O’Brien kissed his costar on the cheek. As you might have guessed, it was not in the script! After that sweet moment, falls were smitten with the pair. In the end, the showrunners agreed to turn their romance into a major plot point.
