Expanding The Brood
Many families stop when they have three kids, but Brad and Angelina don’t. Both were content to keep adopting children that needed parents since they both knew they wanted a big family. The couple adopted Pax, who was three years old, from Vietnam a year after Shiloh was born. Having such a diverse family thrilled Angelina’s heart. The parents’ love for their children was unconditional, regardless of how they were related to them biologically.
Jolie to Jolie-Pitt
Although it might appear like celebrities have an easier time adopting children, the only actual benefit they have is access to more money. Before Shiloh entered the picture, Angelina and Brad had to physically fly to Ethiopia to take on the responsibility of caring for Zahara. The kids were only in Jolie’s custody at the time, but Brad would soon change that. By 2006, Brad had been appointed as the children’s guardian as well, and Angelina had the children’s last names changed to Jolie-Pitt to signify that they were now a single, cohesive family.
