The Attic
Back inside, the handyman noticed that the house had a massive A-frame on one side of the roof that was higher than the other, but the low-ceilinged rooms inside didn’t account for all that extra space. So he inspected the ceiling, thinking there must be some sort of storage space up there until he discovered a trap door. An old ladder tumbled out with a light pull on a small metal ring, raining pink insulation, and dust everywhere. And when he and Tony peered inside, they couldn’t believe what they saw.

A wall with a door sat oddly amid the fiberglass insulation about halfway down the attic. What was even stranger was that there was a roof, but the attic completely obscured it. Tony’s heart could no longer take it. What else might they discover inside his house?
