Discussing Plans Over Dinner
The two married couples met for dinner on December 2015. It was clearly a distressing time for Nicole and Kevin, and Lianna and Shaun wanted to help raise their spirits while trying not to intrude on their friends’ situation. However, a conversation about children was a topic that was difficult to avoid, and they were soon talking about it. Nicole was noticeably upset about not being able to get pregnant. That was when Lianna extended her help.

The More The Merrier
After Nicole talked about the difficulties that pregnancy will bring for her, Lianna told them something shocking and unexpected. Kevin described that dinner conversation, “Lianna goes, ‘You know I have five children, Shawn and I want to have maybe one or two more.'” “And [Nicole and I] looked at each other with a puzzled look, like, ‘You have five kids, why would you want any more?’” Lianna’s answer to that question moved everyone to tears.
