This disapproval is mostly due to Trump’s election as President and his policies that conflict with the policies of Canada. His way of doing business is not helping things either.

In Sweden, people are critical of how liberal Americans fetishize the country. The Swedes do not appreciate the fact that these Americans see Sweden as some type of liberal utopia and even claim that it is paradise on earth. Trump getting elected has also contributed to this European country’s cooling relationship with America. In fact, 51% of people in Sweden disapprove of Americans.
