Grandpa’s Ribs and Secret Sauce – Lincoln, Nebraska

Terry Rupert, a young lad, created Grandpa’s Ribs as a side project in the early 1980s. The restaurant began as a tiny black-owned business, but it quickly expanded. The rib restaurant was named after the owner’s neighbor, an elderly acquaintance. Terry, the owner, is now a grandfather and frequently returns to his house. If you catch him at the station, you can always get a treat from him. After all, the area is still ablaze with wonderful and fresh briskets.
