Clu Gulager – 1928 – The Virginian

In 1958, this American icon made his television debut in the series “Have Gun, Will Travel.” Clu’s father gave him his nickname after spotting the clu-clu bird sitting at the window of his birthing chamber. Clu was actually born William Martin Gulager. Clu seemed destined for stardom, therefore we think the bird was a lucky sign! His first significant break came in 1962 when he landed a starring part in “The Virginian,” where he remained for the show’s entire nine-season run. As he continued to take on roles, his success did not fade. As recently as 2019’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” the legend might be seen appearing in Hollywood blockbusters.

Ali MacGraw – 1939 – Love Story

With her major performance in the Academy Award-nominated movie “Love Story,” Ali MacGraw made a splash in the summer of 1970. This American beauty intermittently appeared on screen until her final appearance in 1997. For a rare on-screen reunion with her former “Love Story” co-star Ryan O’Neal, the 82-year-old recently came out of retirement. So it goes without saying that we were all happy to see the timeless beauty grace the screen once more. Her life appears to be all a superstar deserves, despite the fact that she is no longer a working actor. We might be being a little greedy, but we would enjoy seeing her dominate the screen once more.
