Dell Computers
Dell is among the biggest computer companies out there right now. Michael Dell owns and founded the company in the ‘80s. The servers are made in Austin, Texas. While it used to make the laptops in the United States, it moved the manufacturing abroad for financial reasons. The company now has factories in Brazil, China, Malaysia, Mexico, and Ireland. The Limerick plant in Ireland makes build-to-order laptops and received a lot of attention when it was launched in 2000. At 40,000 sq. ft. and with 3,000 employees, it is one of the biggest factories in Ireland!
Oreck Vacuums
The cleaning company is best known for its dust-picker-uppers and vacuums. Oreck Vacuums was named after the founder, David Oreck. He wanted to make a lightweight yet powerful vacuum after seeing how time-consuming the awkward ones used by hotel housekeepers were. This was the reason his product was first marketed to hotels! When workers wanted one for their homes, the company became a commercial and residential one. All of the high-quality vacuums made by Oreck are made in America. On top of that, the retailer offers an excellent battery recycling program.
