Did you know that G.I. Joe was known as “America’s Movable Fighting Man” in the past? Hasbro now owns the line of action figures and has since expanded it into a line of TV shows, video games, and movies. In 2004, the G.I. Joe was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. In 2017, it also entered the Pop Culture Hall of Fame. Hasbro has its HQ in Rhode Island and makes its toys in plants all over the country. However, it has plants in Taiwan and Hong Kong as well. China is a big buyer of G.I. action figures!

There is even an amusement park about it! The company was founded by Milton S. Hershey, who created a milk-processing plant that let him master the recipe. He ended up selling the company at the Chicago World’s Fair for a million bucks, which is $30.12 million in today’s currency. The company makes a yearly revenue of $7.8 billion.
