For most people, J.M. Smucker is the go-to brand for jelly and other food products. Founded in 1897, you will find the headquarters in Orrville, Ohio. In 2012, Smuckers announced that it acquired a minority interest in a Chinese brand called Seamild Tech Development Company. Aside from making certain products in the Asian country, it once had ties to the Canadian manufacturing industry but shut down the Quebec plant in 2013. It did so to consolidate the business in the United States.

Burt’s Bees
If you are interested in eco-friendly and minimal personal care items, this is the company for you. The products come with beeswax, honey, and other bee products. Burt’s Bees started in Maine in 1984 as a candle company. Roxanne Quimby, one of the founders, made candles using beeswax. Eventually, the company started to sell and bottle honey before using these materials to make edible spreads and furniture polish. After some time, it decided to settle on makeup and beauty products.
