Ray-Ban
This sunglasses company was founded in California in 1936 and now has its headquarters in Rochester, New York. However, an Italian company called Luxottica bought it out. Best known for its shades, the company has factories in China. When criticized about the allegedly low quality of those made in China, Luxottica said that it is of the same quality because the same materials and machines are used. The sole difference would be the cheap labor. At the moment, there are thirteen models made in the Asian country. If you want to check your pair, China-made ones have 3, 8, or F in their designation.
Budweiser Beer
The name of the brand comes from beer in the German language. Even so, it is an American company through and through. Budweiser started in St. Louis, Missouri in 1976. Owned by Anheuser Busch, the company operates its business in many countries on the globe. Carl Conrad & Co. first introduced the product, which did not sell under the current name for years. The beer sells in over eighty countries, although there are times when it is sold as Anheuser instead. It has the highest alcohol content percent in the United States at 5%!
