Nike
We already mentioned Nike but let us take a look at its products as well. Nike has contracts with 180 Chinese manufacturers and employs over 210,000 folks. China plants make one in five pairs of Nikes. This makes the Asian country the second-biggest Nike producer in the world! Nike has been trying to shrink its China manufacturing over the years. In 2012, a third of Nike shoes were made there, but it is now down to a fifth. The company has revealed the reason behind this move. There are factories in Sri Lanka, Brazil, Japan, and Indonesia as well, but Vietnam is currently the biggest producer.
Jack Daniel’s Whiskey
In 1875, Jasper “Jack” Daniel launched his very own company at the age of twenty. There is no American whiskey company more famous than Jack’s Daniel, which sells about 16.1 million cases every year and brings home a net income amounting to $121 million. Approximately five hundred people work for the company, which is owned by Brown-Forman Co. Jack Daniel teamed up with his mentor, master distiller Nearest Green to concoct a distinctive whiskey. The Black Label of Jack Daniel’s is the most popular among its products. In 2017 alone, it sold more than 12.5 million cases of this line!
