Kris Kristofferson
Kris made his name famous not only as an artist but as a songwriter. He won almost all the 1972 songwriter Grammys on his own. Kristofferson composed his songs and collaborated with Nashville songwriters such as Shel Silverstein. He often shared his collaborations with other country legends, including Johnny Cash. In 2009, Kristofferson was honored as a BMI Icon at the 57th annual BMI Country Awards. Throughout his career, his songwriting has garnered 48 BMI Country and Pop Awards. He planned to have another tour, but it was derailed for he battled Lyme disease, which at his age, if 80, was thought as an early sign of Alzheimer’s.
Jason Aldean
Jason Aldean started his career by performing in Atlanta nightclubs, which made him land a deal with Broken Bow Records in 2005. He had then released nine albums and 24 singles in his record label. His 2010 album, My Kinda Party, was certified quadruple platinum. His Night Train album released in 2012 was double platinum. 21 of all his singles reached number one on either Hot Country Songs or Country Airplay. He was awarded as the Entertainer of the year on ACM awards in 2016.
