Even after studying his face and trying to figure the officer out, Courtney can’t really seem to decipher him. She thought he was probably from a different town or just doesn’t frequently eat in the diner she was working at. If the officer was there for something else, she was hoping it did not involve his ex-boyfriend.

Courtney was kind of intrigued about the police officer that just came in the diner. She knew something’s wrong, and she wanted to figure out what it was. When she was taking his order, she was trying to converse with him in small talk, commenting about the weather, his order, and anything that came into her mind that moment.
