Courtney’s ex-boyfriend had not really been good to her. He did not treat her with respect and the treatment she deserved. We guess it was pretty obvious since he left Courtney alone even though he knew she was pregnant. However, Courtney just set aside her thoughts and went on to take the order of the officer.

When the unknown police officer arrived and sat, Courtney somehow felt uneasy and uncomfortable. She still went to collect his order even though she was feeling that way. When she reached him, she carefully looked at his face and studied it for quite a while, trying to figure him out.
