Index cards were used for many applications. It could be used to record and store recipes, shopping lists, contact information, and other data that needed to be organized. These were also in demand during exam season. A hundred of these could be bought for just 50 cents at the dollar store. It would be easier to stock up on these because of how cheap these could be bought.

Flashlight
Flashlights were typically used as a light source during power outages or when the light was needed in places where the electric lights would not be able to reach. The dollar store might not offer them with the best quality, but they would come in handy when the power went out. These are super cheap and had a fashion look because of the keychain hook.
