Flip flops were simple sandals that were held on with a strap or thong at the front. These were typically used when going to the beach. These could also be used around the house, camp showers, and college dorm rooms. The dollar stores would generally sell them for a low price, and even though these were affordable, they were still of exceptional quality.

The general purpose of permanent markers was to write on metals, plastics, ceramics, wood, stone, cardboard, and a whole lot more. We could but a pack of four for the price of one at the dollar stores. Ignore the name of the brand because the quality and function were the same. The only difference between the two was that it would not make a scratch on the wallet.
