“A table for one, please.” That was what the elderly woman had said. Brook knew right away that she needed to take action. Brook continued, “She then told the waitress, ‘a table for one, please’, so I waited and hesitated but then I walked over and said, ‘I’m eating by myself too, would you like to have lunch together?’” She wasn’t about to let this lady eat alone.
