The story got a fair amount of attention and got shared 430 times. He managed to earn some funds for the project too! He had a goal of $2,000 and made $350 of this. As you can see, people supported him in this! He already finished the staircase using this money, so it is now possible to go inside without risking your safety. He also shared the progress with the folks who donated money to the project.

It took him quite some time to rebuild the stairs, but he did not want to do this without careful consideration. He widened the top step by 2.5 times and secured it to the wall.
