John could not wait to explore this underground area. However, he wanted to do so safely. After all, he did not know what might be hiding down there. He and his friends drew up a plan. They even made a blueprint and a method about how to go about this. What were they about to find down there?

The first thing they had to do was to fix and reinforce the concrete structure that supported the stairs. They seemed rusty, so they were not safe to use. Even though they felt tempted to simply go down and explore, John was aware that this would be a terrible idea.
