Pelé

At the World Cup in 1958 – at the age of just 17 – Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé, showed the world public how to play football. Pelé and his teammates, like Garrincha, who was also highly skilled, played “the beautiful game” or “Joga Bonito”, as it was called on the streets of Rio or in the port city of Santos, Pelé’s footballing home. Pelé’s goals in the final against hosts Sweden will never be forgotten – especially the one that made it 3-1 (final score 5-2), when he chested in a cross from the left, passed a defender and finished with a volley on goal

Tom Brady

With seven Super Bowl titles (six with the New England Patriots, one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), he has more Vince Lombardi trophies in his display case than any team in the NFL. After the season, Brady – who was drafted 199th in the sixth round in 2000 – announced his retirement from active duty, only to step down from retirement six weeks later and play at least one more season with the Tampa Bay Bucs.
