Russell Crowe faced a severe public relations catastrophe in 2005 after it was claimed that he punched a hotel clerk in the face with a phone. When the actor couldn’t phone his wife in Australia while staying at a high-end hotel, he went to the lobby and got into a fight with the desk clerk. Finally, he tossed the phone at the worker, who was then cut below the right eye. The actor was quickly taken into custody.
